Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff, a French Filipina VJ, actress, TV Host, model, singer, fashion designer, painter and a professional make-up artist is born on July 20, 1985. She is the second child of Louis Paul Heussaff, a former French Marine of Breton descent and to Cynthia Adea, a Filipina. Her father is the head of a service company for a petroleum industry. Solenn has an older sister, Vanessa and a younger brother named Erwa. Vanessa finished her secondary education at an International School in Manila known as Eurocampus or European International School of Manila. After her graduation from the said school, Solenn went to Paris to study fashion design in Studio Bercot for three years. Solenn also took up a six month course in body painting, basic beauty, fashion make-up and prosthetics at Ecole Fleurimont, Paris and later on for further studies at the Make Up Forever Academy.
Solenn Heussaff gained popularity in the reality program Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown which aired in GMA-7. She was one of the top three finalists of the said show. Solenn was one of the fan favorites and one of the most controversial castaways in the said reality show. During the airing of the show Solenn became one of the trending topics in social media sites. Solenn, before entering into the world of show business was a product endorser in and outside the country. She signed a contract with MCA Universal Philippines and a movie contract with Regal Films in December, 2010. She also signed a television contract with GMA Network and GMA Artist Center. She is currently an endorser of products and services like Vitress Hair Solutions, Asian Secrets, Argentina, Century Tuna, Greenwich Pasta and Robinsons Land Corporation. Solenn, after joining Survivor Philippines had pursued her acting career. She made movies like Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, My Valentine Girls, Temptation Island, Boy Pick-up: The Movie, D’Kilabots Pogi Brothers Weh?!, Sosy Problems and Seduction. She was also chosen to cast in the telefantasya which aired in GMA 7, Captain Barbell. Solenn is currently a host in a noon time game show, Eat Bulaga and a makeover show also in the same network. Solenn, a versatile artist is also a good singer. She released her first self-titled album on July 17, 2011 and held her first major concert in August, 2011.
Solenn Heussaff admitted that she naturally has a wild side which prompts her to do anything and take any challenge. She can do crazy things in public just to make other people laugh. She is free-spirited, adventurous, laid back and artistic. Because of her lavish background, Solenn was tagged as an “it” girl and a socialite but she refuses to be labeled as such. She is very busy with her showbiz career yet still finds time exploring her Filipino roots.
