Devon May Seron was born on May 29, 1993 and hails from Cebu City. A young Filipina actress and now a television celebrity, Devon Seron was once a housemate in ABS-CBN’s biggest television reality show where she placed 4th, “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash. 2010.” She is now one of the network’s contract talents. She grew up in a squatter’s area and went to a public school. But because she was afflicted with scoliosis, her parents transferred her to a private school adjacent to their house. In order to pay for school tuition, her parents worked double time to provide her educational needs. The family was living in a small nipa hut and had to settle on anything that is available on the table, or at times nothing at all.
In spite of the difficulties and hardships, Devon remained to be a cheerful daughter. She focused on her studies and even earned special honors as a student. But being an honor student doesn’t mean you won’t pay your tuition fees. On graduation day, the school almost did not allow Devon to come up the stage because of her back accounts. When she passed the PBB audition, Big Brother helped pay her tuition fee and eventually, she got her diploma.
On Week 6 of the PBB reality show, her mother was asked to enter the house and work as a house helper. The objective of the task is to get Devon her dream: a college educational scholarship. And fortunately, she was granted the scholarship from STI with the help of PBB and Big Brother. Currently, she is concentrating on her acting and showbiz commitments and studying Business Management at the same time.
ABS-CBN paved the way for her in the entertainment industry which became a big help for her family. She was eventually given guest appearance to various ABS tv shows such as “Shout Out!” Later, Devon was teamed up to James Reid, also a housemate at PBB and emerged as the Grand Winner. Devon also starred in “Good Vibes” together with James. Their fans adored them so much that they gave the name “JaEvon” to the love team.
In the ABS-CBN “Mula Sa Puso,” Devon was given a supporting role to Mariel Rodriguez. Some of her TV appearances are in “Angelito: Batang Ama,” and “Angelito: Bagong Yugto” which lasted almost a year on the afternoon primetime teleserye. In “Apoy Sa Dagat,” also with the same network, she had a short cameo role in the person of Bernadette. Her first lead role was in ‘I Dare You Season,” wherein future airing will still be announced. There are also various offers and projects that are being lined up for Devon.
Indeed, Devon Seron had come a long way. She assures her followers that she’ll make good in whatever she does and try to be finish school soon. Devon is thankful for the many blessings she received and even grateful that she was used as an instrument to help her parents and siblings.
