Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo is Judy Anne Lumagui Santos in real life. She is a Filipino television and film actress, product endorser, film producer, recording artist, and a chef. She was born on May 11, 1978 in Manila to parents Manuel Dayrit Santos, a businessman and Carolina Fontanela Lumagui, a bank officer. She is the youngest in the brood of three with brother Jeffrey Santos who’s also an actor and a politician, and sister Jacqueline Santos, a registered nurse. Judai, as she is fondly called by family and friends, spent her primary school years at Assumption Convent but later moved to Our Lady of Peace (both schools are situated in Antipolo). She spent her secondary school years at Mount Carmel College in Quezon City.
Judy Ann Santos is married to actor and TV host, Ryan Agoncillo. The couple met and got the chance to know each other when they were being paired in a TV series Krystala. Since then, the two dated and began a relationship in 2005, got engaged in 2008, and eventually married each other in 2009. Their wedding was a private one and was attended only by both their families, close friends in and outside showbiz, and other people who are close to the couple. Judai gave birth to her first born Juan Luis in 2010. Her adopted daughter Yohan is also living with them and is now a certified Agoncillo.
At the age of eight, Judai landed a small part in the 1986 TV series, Kaming Mga Ulila. Her first lead role in TV series was Ula, Ang Batang Gubat. As she grow older, she displayed an exceptional acting ability that made her starred in highly rated TV series like Mara Clara, Esperanza, Basta’t Kasama Kita, Sa Piling Mo, and Ysabella. Other TV series that she appeared in include GMA Telecine Specials, Star Drama Theater Presents, Gimik, May Himala, Judy Ann Drama Specials, Maalaala Mo Kaya (different episodes), Komiks Presents, Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka, George and Cecil (with husband Ryan Agoncillo), May Bukas Pa, Habang May Buhay, and Gimik 2010: The Reunion. She also hosted the Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition and MasterChef Pinoy Edition along with popular Philippine chefs.
She also did numerous films during her entire years in showbiz. Some of those films gave her recognition and earned her awards. Some of her award-winning films are Ploning (which she produced herself), Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, Quija, Don’t Give Up On Us, Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita, Sabel, I Will Survive, and Mano Po 2: My Home. Also, she gave notable performances in doing the following films: ‘Till There Was You, Miss Pinoy, Umaaraw Umuulan, Mag-ingat Ka Sa Kulam, OMG (Oh, My Girl), Hating Kapatid, My House Husband, Mga Mumunting Lihim, and her latest movie with movie icons Vic Sotto and Bong Revilla, Si Agimat, Si Enteng and Me. Judai was awarded her own star in the Philippine Walk of Fame in 2006.
