One of the favorite singers of all times is the Filipina artist named Juris Fernandez. She was born on March 18, 1978 in Davao City, Philippines. Her real name is Julie Iris Fernandez-Lim, born to an engineer father and an obstetrician-gynecologist mother. Juris other sister is also an obstetrician-gynecologist like her mom. She studied at the Ateneo de Davao University when she was in high school, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Miriam College in Manila. After graduation, she took up a Master’s degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Juris Fernandez was born a singer and composer. She used to be the leader singer of MYMP (Make your Mama Proud) from 2003 and disbanded in the latter part of 2009. She was previously a talent of Ivory Records with her group mates Chin Alcantara and Mike Manahan. She still is a member of “ASAP,” a Sunday variety show over ABS-CBN in which she showcases her talent in singing. Juris continues to write songs that inspire her and do more recordings in addition to her already numerous hit songs and albums. This led Juris to sign a contract with Star Records.

Juris married boyfriend Gavin Lim, and proud to say that she manages her work schedule and family life very well. She reveals that her married life never interfered with her career and had not affected it in any way. She thinks that having a child might change her priorities but until then, the couple still manages to have a very good time management. When at times they notice that they had been very busy, they can very well adjust and make a way to take a break from their busy schedules. Juris frankly admits that she needs work in order to help save for their future children. And aside from that, she really loves singing which her husband understands so well.
Juris and Gavin spent their honeymoon in Europe and had fun enjoying each other’s company. She admits that she comes home excited because she knows that her husband is anxiously waiting for her. And although she is busy with her singing stints and gigs, she welcomes the idea of having a baby anytime soon. It would be a precious blessing from the Lord she quips.
Juris is a picture of a happy and contented wife. Maybe it is because of the love being given to each other and they really learn from each other every day. There are still adjustments even if they are already together for more than a year, still every day is a brand new day for the couple. Gavin has been her boyfriend for some years, and it gives her joy that they finally get married and be together for the rest of their lives.
