Jodi Santamaria, a Filipina actress is born Jodi Chrissie Garcia Santamaria on June 16, 1982. Jodi is the eldest daughter of three. She graduated from high school in at the Southville International School and Colleges and is currently pursuing a course in Medical Biology at the De La Salle University – Dasmarinas. She was married to Panfilo “Pampi” Lacson Jr. the son of Philippine senator Panfilo Lacson whom she met on the set of Tabing Ilog. Together they have a six year old son whom they named Thirdy. The couple later on separated in 2010. They are currently in the process of annulling their marriage after living together for five years.
Jodi Santamaria is under the managing contract of ABS-CBN Star Magic contract talents. Jodi is considered to be one of the Philippine’s most talented actresses of her generation. She started her showbiz career as a member of the Star Magic Batch 7 and she became part of several ABS-CBN shows which includes Gimik, Tabing Ilog, Pangako Sa’Yo, Kampanerang Kuba, Noah and 100 Days To Heaven. She was also played roles in movies like Gimik The Reunion, Bagong Buwan, You Are The One, Cinco and My Amnesia Girl. She also casted in the Indie films like Migrante and Aparisyon which was both released in 2012. Jodi became more famous and carried a household name when she played the role of Maya Dela Rosa in the hit and top rating daytime TV drama Be Careful With My Heart which airs weekdays on ABS-CBN. The show’s success prompted viewers and critics to call Jodi the Queen of Primetanghali.
Jodi Santamaria received several awards and recognitions. The most recent is her winning the 2012 8th USTv Student’s Choice Awards for Best Supporting Actress in the soap opera 100 Days To Heaven and another award at the 2012 Anak TV Seal Awards for the Makabata Awardee. In 2010 Jodi received her second acting award in her career as Best Supporting Actress for Cinema One Originals for Third World Happy. Her first award came in 2008 when she won Best Actress in the Digital Lokal category of the 2008 Cinemanila film Sisa.
Jodi Santamaria is a former girlfriend of actor, Baron Geisler where they both casted in the prime time television series Noah. Jodi has also done stage acting like the play Beauty and the Beast. She is currently romantically linked to Jolo Revilla, son of another Philippine senator and actor, Bong Revilla.
