Asia Agcaoili was born on September 20, 1983 in Isabela, Philippines. She is Junelyn Alexis Agcaoili in real life, who is a Filipino actress, model, and a columnist in one of the popular Men’s Magazine, FHM Philippines. Asia earned her degree at the University of the Philippines. Her personality best describe her as strong- willed woman, has a strong confidence and liberated. Asia was a part of a sexy group Viva Hot Babes Batch 2.
Asia Agcaoili met boyfriend Bram van der Kolk, in which their relationship was followed by a wedding in 2009. The couple eventually moved to New Zealand wherein Bram was arrested in connection with the Megaupload raid. They had a son which they named Xander.
Asia’s first TV appearance was via ABC’s Singles, a popular reality show where she approved to obtain breast implants and have it publicly broadcast. In Extra Challenge of the reality game show on the GMA Network, she showcased her intelligence by facing traditional moralists with confidence.
In Magic 89.9 she was a radio disc jockey until January of 2007, and also wrote columns for FHM Philippines entitled “Asia’s Sex Confidential.” The topics varied from love, sex and relationships and she was very liberal minded when talking about sex. In the ABS-CBN TV show entitled “Bida Si Mister, Bida Si Misis,” she was a regular cast. The first Filipino-made sex education movie “Sex Guru” gave her the lead role. It was then followed by a villain role in the ABS CBN “Till Death Do us Part.” In the former noontime show MTB March 9, 2003 edition, Asia had an accidental breast exposure which resulted in a 20 day suspension from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or the MTRCB.
In Studio 23, Asia spearheaded a show which was called “Pinoy Big Brother; Si Kuya Kabarkada Mo,” featuring bits and pieces from the night before, and also featured public opinions from all sectors, spoof segments and few live feeds from the show itself and what’s happening inside the house.
Apart from these, Asia had been a host in Breakfast in Studio 23 while doing some TV teleseryes such as “Vietnam Rose,” aired over ABS-CBN opposite Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano. She had also been a host in PBA on ABC, a show that focused on what’s happening in and out of the PBA field and included exclusive interviews with the basketball stars as well. Asia had been busy with her acting, hosting and writing and proved herself to be called as such.
Now aged 29, she calls herself a full time housewife and a mom, and she is currently living with her husband and son in New Zealand in Kim Dotcom’s lavish mansion. Dotcom was the controversial founder of Megaupload, a file sharing website.
Last January 2013, Dotcom had a grand launching for a new content storage service which they called ‘Mega,” which is the most private and invincible file-sharing service in the history of websites. This is just to prove that the supposedly controversial arrest and raid was indeed illegal as declared by a New Zealand court.
