Sam Pinto, a commercial actress and a model was born on December 11, 1989 in Paranaque, Metro Manila. Her real name is Samuelle Lynne Acosta Pinto. Sam’s mother is a lawyer who has always been Sam’s source of strength. Sam has an older sister and 2 half sisters from his father’s second family. Sam Pinto started out as a model that appeared in print ads of various known brands in the Philippines. She has been seen on TV alongside Mark Herras in one of GMA’s episodes of Maynila. Sam was also a finalist in the Myx VJ Search 2008 and had her first television regular appearance in Midnight DJ with Oyo Boy Sotto.
Her break into show business was through the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Double Up edition for being one of the contenders of the said show. After her days in the Big Brother house, she worked with Jake Cuenca as his love interest in the series Agimat Presents Elias Paniki. She also appeared in the film Petrang Kabayo, a remake of the 1980’s film played by Roderick Paulate. The film was starred by Vice Ganda, a very popular comedian in the Philippine show business world. Sam confirmed the news of her transfer from ABS-CBN to GMA through her social media account on Twitter. She signed a contract with GMA network to a binding 3-year contract. She has appeared in many shows of GMA, Kapuso network and has become a regular cast in Bubble Gang together with Oggie Alcasid, Michael V and the rest of the gang.
From her days in the Big Brother house, she is also a favorite face in magazines like Woman Today, Gadgets Magazine, and most notably the cover girl for the July issue of FHM magazine in 2010. Apart from her modelling and acting career, Sam has a passion in fashion design. In her interviews, she looks up to fashion designing as her alternative when her acting career comes to an end. She has been active from 2009 to present. Among the television shows where she made an appearance in are Midnight DJ, Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up, Your Song: Isla, Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla: Elias Paniki, Ilumina, Puso ng Pasko: Artista Challenge, Jillian: Namamasko Po, Spooky Nights: The Ringtone, Captain Barbell Ang Pagbabalik, Spooky Nights: Panata, Legacy, The Good Daughter and Spooky Nights Presents: Kasambahay. The most recent is Indio as Lidagat and a regular cast of Party Pilipinas and Bubble Gang.

Her awards and nominations include FHM’s Philippine Sexiest Finest Rank #32 in 2010 and Rank #1 in 2011 and 2011. She won 1st Most Liked Awards’ Most Liked Kapuso Babe and was nominated 2nd Yahoo! OMG Awards Celebrity of the Year.
