Vic Sotto, a Filipino actor, TV host, comedian, and film producer was born Marvic “Vic” Castelo Sotto on April 28, 1954 to his parents Marcelino Ojeda Sotto and Dra. Herminia Castelo. He is popularly known as “Bossing.” His father is of Chinese descent. Vic attended his college at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He has three brothers Marcelino, Vicente, a Philippine Senator and Valmar. Vic has four children from different women, Oyo Boy Sotto and Danica Sotto from ex-wife actress Dina Bonevie, Paulina Sotto from Angela Luz and Vico sotto from actress Coney Reyes.
Vic Sotto started off as a folk singer and guitarist and later on decided to join his brothers Tito and Val in the show OK Lang, in a gag show in the 70’s under IBC TV Network. Vic met Joey de Leon on this show and the trio Tito, Vic and Joey was formed. The three were cast in a comedy series Iskul Bukol and in the noontime show, Eat Bulaga, TVJ’s Jester and Rock and Roll 2000. Vic was also the lead vocalist of the disco funk band VST & Company. Vic has created the famous disco songs like Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko, Rock, Rock and Kung Sakali. Vic has done many sitcoms and television shows under three TV networks for the past three decades. Vic mostly did shows for the network GMA-7. Vic is still a host in the long running variety show Eat Bulaga. Vic has won three consecutive titles for Philippine Box Office King in the year 2004, 2005 and 2006. Vic is widely respected and acknowledged as one of the Philippines most talented singers and songwriters, comedian, actor and TV host.
Vic Sotto starred in many box office movies and TV series. His latest movie was the movie Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako which was a box office hit and Vampire And Daddy Ko his latest TV series which airs in GMA-7. He was linked to several women mostly with his leading ladies in his movies. He recently broke up with TV host Pia Guanio and rumored to be currently dating Pauline Luna an actress and a co-host for Eat Bulaga.
Back in 1982, Vic along with Richie D Horsie and Joey de Leon were accused of rape by Pepsi Paloma a sexy actress who was then sixteen years old. The case was never filed in court after the three publicly apologized on national television.
