Kean Edward Uson Cipriano is simply Kean Cipriano in the world of Filipino entertainment. He was born in Pasig City, Philippines on June 11, 1987 to Leonardo Cipriano and Ma. Asuncion Unson Cipriano, and earned his degree at the University of Santo Tomas Entepreneurship School Of Asia with a course in Music and Business Administration. He stands 5’7” and works as an actor, model and a lead vocalist of the band “Callalily.” He has two brothers namely, Keno and Keano.
Kean Cipriano is considered to be a total performer. He had first appeared in the TV series in TV5 entitled “BFGF” together with his ex-girlfriend Alex Gonzaga and starred in the sitcom “Hapi Together.” Kean’s first movie role was with Eugene Domingo in the awarded film “Babae sa Septic Tank,” and portrayed a role of a director. He had several guest appearances in”Showtime,” over ABS-CBN. This paved the way for a movie with Vice Ganda “Praybeyt Benjamin,” which was the biggest blockbuster Filipino movie in the history of Philippine entertainment. His first independent movie film was “San Lazaro,” which was also shown on the same year.
“The Reunion,” is a debut film for Kean Cipriano which was released by Star Cinema and also starred Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim. Bangs Garcia played his love interest. He has been appearing in the three TV networks and considered himself as a freelancer because he has not signed any exclusive contract among the three giants. Kean came from a well-known family of the Cipriano’s which owns the equally famous and landmark Cipriano Gravel and Sand. He was humble enough not to talk about the family’s business. Kean is still having a good time improving his talent and skills as an actor, and enjoying his life in music through singing and composing.
Although Kean Cipriano had already made appearances on several films, he says that he loved singing first and can never give up music for acting. Being the lead vocalist of the rock band “Callalily,” he states that his heart will always belong to his band and whatever he does, whatever movie he stars, at the end of the day, Kean will always be Kean of the famous Callalily. Kean loves his band and considers his fellow musicians his brothers. Whatever happens, he will never think of leaving the band.
After the break up with Alex Gonzaga, Kean now admits that he is dating with a non-showbiz girl and opts to keep his love life private. He reveals that the decision to be privy is to protect the girl and that he just want to keep it that way and doesn’t even want to divulge the name of the lucky girl. Lots of girls from the showbiz world are going crazy over Kean but he said he never took advantage of them. Kean is more focused now on his music and acting career. Kean had appeared on the game show “Kapamilya: Deal or No deal” together with Enchong Dee wherein they won a whooping one million as their price.
