A beautiful Filipina actress, Roxanne Guinoo was born on February 14, 1986 in Rosario, Cavite to parents Bernardo Guinoo and Ana Bosch. She had three siblings and is the youngest among four children. She was well taken cared of and even over protected. There was one instance that she was not even allowed to go to a fastfood restaurant with her classmates. Roxanne finished her secondary education at Atheneum Amcan School also in Cavite in 2003. She auditioned for a Teatro, the schools drama club but her parents stopped her from joining. When she graduated, Roxanne enrolled at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas and took up BS Psychology.
She then decided to try to audition for “Star Circle Quest,” in Bicutan where she was accompanied by her sister. Upon joining the contest she was already allowed to go wherever she wished and got a taste of freedom. It was only until she entered “Star Circle Quest” that her family approved of her having a boyfriend. Roxanne experienced her first date in the person of Juddah Paolo, also a contender in the reality show contest. Her actual boyfriend by that time was Joross Gamboa. After one year of the relationship, they finally separated in 2006. Roxanne admitted that she was hurt by the break-up but eventually moved on. Today, both of them remained good friends. Her next boyfriend was actor and model Jake Cuenca.
Roxanne Guinoo made it to the top five finalists and won the second runner up of the said Quest. The magic 5 consists of Hero Angeles, Sandara Park, Joross Gamboa and Melissa Ricks. Her first TV appearance was drama SCQ Reload together with her former SQC finalists under ABS-CBN productions. After some time, she starred in some movies “Now that I have You,” “Can This Be Love,” and “D’ Anothers” with Bong Navarro. Roxanne’s first big break was in the drama series “Sineserye Presents: Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos?” with the likes of Dina Bonnevie and Rosanna Roces as her co-stars. ABS-CBN then followed this up with an afternoon teleserye “Ligaw Na Bulaklak,” which is her first solo starrer teleserye.
Roxanne Guinoo had come a long way from being a shy “probinsyana” to a versatile actress, and now, she is already a mother of two kids, one girl and a baby boy. She was recently married to Angelo Yap who is also supportive of her acting career. A more mature actress, she had her come back under GMA Network. She admits that there might be changes in the roles that she will be given now that she is married. Roxanne considered mother roles and other character that is required of her but also puts limitations voluntary. This means that it would be wise to be responsible in accepting roles and limit to those ones that only provides improvement to her craft rather than focus on her looks and body. Roxanne Guinoo is a true beautiful woman, inside and out.
