Lizelle Venelli Uy, popularly known as Liz Uy, was born on February 8, 1982. She is a well-known celebrity stylist in the Philippines. She is very pretty, smart, witty and multi-talented celebrity stylist. She was raised in a conservative yet close Chinese family. She finished her secondary schooling or high school at the Grace Christian High School in Manila and earned a degree in Hotel and Institutional Management at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She is the daughter of bankers Bing and Nennette Uy. Her sister Laureen Uy is also a designer, actress and fashion blogger. Liz has a brother who is the creative director of Preview Magazine.
She first became exposed to the media for her relationship with the actor John Lloyd Cruz. After their split up, she was then rumored to have been dating President Noynoy Aquino. She is a fashion Editor-at-Large of a well-known Magazine here in the Philippines, Preview and Esquire. She designs and styles well known and famous actress and actors here in the Philippines like Kris Aquino, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo and Gretchen Barretto. Aside from being a Fashionist and an Editor-at-Large she is also a product endorser for Jing Monis Salon, Creamsilk,and Glam Rock Watches, Magnum Selecta Ice Cream, Globe and Plains and Prints. She was on the cover of Preview Magazine in the January 2011 issue.
She recently signed a contract with Viva Entertainment last February and will soon be endorsing products of Lifestyle shows. She is said to also host this show. Liz is publishing a book: A La Nina Garcia which is a style guide for the Filipinos. Aside from being a stylist and designer to the stars she is also the latest brand ambassador of a famous woman’s clothing brand. She is also branded as the queen of the local fashion scene.
