Coleen Garcia, a Filipina-Spanish actress, model and presenter was born on September 24, 1992 in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Her full name is Danielle Claudine Ortega Garcia. She went to school at the Veritas Parochial School. Coleen had once been awarded as the top scholar of Southville International School and Colleges, an editor-in-chief for their high school paper The Wire and part of the School’s student council and outreach program. Coleen is a Christian who attends regular services at CCF or Christian Commission Fellowship.
Before her showbiz involvement, Coleen had been appearing in commercials. Together with her mom, they first appeared in a commercial for Johnsons and Johnsons as a mother and child tandem, she was then 2 years of age. Her involvement in commercial endorsements eventually followed her growing years. At nine years old, she has been the image model for Just G. Her contract with the company as an image model stretched to two years. Presently she models for BNY shirts and jeans. As she entered her teen years, she starred in a commercial endorsement alongside John Lloyd Cruz for Skin White, Lewis and Pearl Cologne alongside Enrique Gil as Angel and as Matina for Nestea alongside Neil Coleta. Her appearance in the latter endorsement left a mark to the general viewing public.
At present Coleen is under a contract with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic group of talents. She has appeared in Television Shows such as Maalaala Mo Kaya: School ID, playing the role of the love interest of Bobit played by Matt Evans, Good Vibes as Monique Angeli Castillejo, My Binondo Girl as Marissa, Wansapanataym: Cocoy Shokoy as Dianne, Maynila: Misa De Gallo as Jean, It’s Showtime as one of the hosts, Oka2kat as Diwata Marya, and the most recent Little Champ as Alice. She also appeared in Music Videos; Jovit Baldivino’s Carrie and Markki Stroem’s Steal Your Soul. In 2012, she received the Best Reality/Game Show Host award at the 26th PMPC Star Award and was nominated for Female Newcomer of the Year in Yahoo OMG Awards.
