Rufa Mae Quinto is a Filipino actress, a host, comedian and a model. She was born on May 28, 1978 and is fondly called as Booba in the world of show business. The beginning of her career started when she was made part of the That’s Entertainment show in 1996. She then started taking movie roles in 1997 with Gloria Labadera as her first movie where she portrayed the role of Gloria. Her hit movies are Booba and Boobita Rose which gave her the nickname Booba in the showbiz world. She also became popular for her lack of English fluency and make fun of it stating it’s a nose bleeding thing for her to do. Among her famous expressions are “OK, fine,” “Todo Na To!,” “Go, Go, Go!” “Move On” “Pasensya Na” “Para sa Bayan” and “To the Highest Level”.
Her manager is Boy Abunda and she is currently under contract with GMA Network. Rufa Mae has made numerous movies since 1994 starting from Kalabog en Bosyo, followed by Manalo, Matalo, Mahal Kita, Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa, Dyesebel, Paracale Gang, Pablik Enemi 1 n 2: Aksidental Heroes, Gloria, Gloria Labandera, Pipti Pipti, Anak ni Boy Negro, Habang Nasasaktan Lalong Tumatapang, Matinik na Bading, Mga Syukang Buking, Squala, Mahal Kita: Final Answer!, Hula Mo, Huli Ko, La Visa Loca, Masikip sa Dibdib, Captain Barbell, Ako Legal Wife: Mano Po 4?!, Oh, My Ghost!, and Desperadas 2. She also appeared in different television series like Toda Max, Dwarfina, Daldalita, Enchanted Garden, Diva, Darna, Kaya ng Powers, Obra, Bubble Gang, and Marinara. Among the awards she received are the Best Comedy Actress Awardee for Bubble Gang and Female Star of the Night in 2008 by the 22nd PMPC Star Awards on TV; Comedy Actress for Bubble Gang in 2006 for the 20th PMPC Start Awards on TV, and Comedy Actress for Ispup in 2002 by the 16th PMPC Star Awards for TV. Her movie award came from the 14th PMPC Star Awards in 2000 where she was proclaimed as the best supporting actress for the movie Dahil May Isang Ikaw.
