Martina Aileen delas Alas-Salang is popularly known as Ai-Ai delas Alas born on November 11, 1964 in Calatagan Batangas. She is the daughter of Engr. Rosendo delas Alas. Her spinster Aunt, Justa delas Alas adapted and raised her to the woman she is today. She finished her studies in Mass Communications from Far Eastern University in the year 1985. She was first married to Miguel Vera a singer of whom she had 2 children. She also had a child from a previous relationship. Ai-Ai delas Alas is now married to Jed Alvin Salang, who is a Filipino businessman.
She has been active with the Philippine show business since 1985 to present and has been given titles as the Philippine Queen of Comedy and Comedy Concert Queen. She is first to be recognized nationwide in the blockbuster movie, Ang Tanging Ina which has its sequels Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat and Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na ‘To!). Among the movies she appeared at are Guwapings: The First Adventure, Bulag, Pipi at Bingi, Separada, Koronang Itim, Darna: Ang Pagbabalik (aka Darna: The Return), Computer Kombat, Isang Tanong, Isang Sagot, It’s Cool Bulol, Kasal-kasalan (Sakalan), Ms. Kristina Moran, Ang Babaeng Palaban, Kiss mo ‘Ko, Bakit Ba Ganyan? At present, she is one of the judges of Pilipinas Got Talent, Season 4.
