Prior to his present hosting career, he hosted Lunch Date of GMA7, Magandang Tanghali Bayan and Wowowee of ABS-CBN. He is also a business man, owner of Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City, W bar and Wil Steak Town. It is located at the Wil Events Place of The Wil Tower Mall. In 2005, Willie Revillame married Liz Almoro at a civil wedding in Lipa, Batanggas which was lead by Vilma Santos. It was then followed by a church wedding in June of the same year. Before the wedding to Liz Almoro, he was first wedded to Princess Punzalan, actress. Among many TV hosts in the country, Willie Revillame is known to be one of the highest paid entertainers in the industry and is perhaps the most controversial of all getting involved in instances that challenge his credibility as a host.

Among the Awards he received are Best Male TV Host (Willie Revillame) (2005 & 2007), Consumers Award Outstanding Variety Show (2008), Consumers Award Outstanding Male TV Host (2008) and 2011 – PMPC Star Awards for TV – Best Variety Show.
In a report aired on Bandila on 2010, Lozano’s brief report provided a quick rundown of the controversies that the said actor-host has been through during his years in Philippine Television. In the report, his suspensions from the noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan and Masayang Tanghali Bayan were pointed out, for being lascivious in his jokes as well as in action. His suspension from the latter show was sparked also due to an insult to a midget actress named mahal. He took everything as a joke while other people are not really fond of his jokes. The Ultra Stampede Strategy and his mis-conduct during the late President Cory Aquino’s funeral were all pointed out, seemingly stating that the host is not so professional in his line of work. To date, Revillame is still hosting his own noon time show. However, controversies are yet piling up as it may have already been tagged to his name.
