Zsa Zsa Padilla’s real name is Esperanza Padilla born on May 28, 1964. She is the daughter of actor and sports person, Carlos “Sonny” Padilla, Jr. who has served a referee in the Ali-Frazier world heavyweight boxing match. Zsa Zsa is an actress and a highly regarded singer. She has rendered many performances both locally and internationally in movies, stage plays, theaters and tv shows. Apart from being an artist, she is also a songwriter, commercial model, product endorser, music producer and a businesswoman.
She first started as being a member of popular bands in the 70’s, Manila Sound and Hot Dog. She then went solo in year 1982. Her first TV appearance was then at Lovingly Yours Helen where she played the role of being a wife to a gay and first appearance in a film is “Mga Anak Ni Facifica Falayfay” together with the King of Filipino comedy films, Dolphy. Dolphy has become her partner for more than 20 years and they have children Nicole and Zia. Her children too have taken after her strong singing voice. Now, Karylle Padilla (her daughter from her former husband) and Zia Quizon are a regular face on Philippine television also being a singer.
At present, she is a regular host/singer of ASAP and has been appearing in various films and television shows such as 1DOL (ABS-CBN), May Bukas Pa (ABS-CBN), Lastikman (ABS-CBN), Bituing Walang Ningning (ABS-CBN), Born Diva (ABS-CBN), Star In A Million (ABS-CBN), Morning Girls (ABS-CBN), Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka (ABS-CBN), Lab Ko Si Babes (ABS-CBN), Hiwalay Kung Hiwalay, Daw! (GMA Network), Zsa Zsa Limited Engagement (Six Special Shows/GMA Network), Familia Zaragoza (ABS-CBN), Star Drama Presents Zsa Zsa, GMA Telesine “Mukha” (telemovie directed By Argel Joseph), and GMA Telesine “Camilla”, a Tagalog adaptation of the play “Camille”.
Among the albums she has released includes Unchanging Love by PolyEast Records in 2009 which gathered a Gold Album Award; Mahal Kita, Walang Iba by Viva Records in 2002; In My Life… Zsa Zsa by Viva Records in 2001, Love Concert Live by Viva Records, Sentiments by Viva Records in 1999 which gathered a Platinum Album Award; Zsa Zsa by Viva Records in 1998 which earned a Quadruple Platinum Album Award, Walang Makakapigil by Warner Music Philippines in 1994, I I S A by Blackgold Records in 1990 from which the affiliate label was relaunched by Vicor Music Corporation; Krismas by Blackgold Records in 1989 which was released as Audio-Cassette only; Roots & Wings by Blackgold Records in 1988 from which the affiliate label was relaunched by Vicor Music Corporation; Ikaw Lamang in 1985 which gained a Gold Album Award; Kahit Na by Telesis in 1984. It was reintroduced by Vicor Music Corporation. However reintroduction of “Am I Your Kind Of Woman”, Am I Your Kind Of Woman is by Jem Recording, in 1984 and Zsa Zsa Turbo in 1991.
