A Filipina model, TV and movie actress, Maria Olivia S. Daytia, popularly known as Isabel Oli in Philippine movie world was born on October 20, 1981 in Cebu, Philippines. Isabel‘s father has a Chinese descent but she has a Filipino mother. The youngest among seven siblings, Isabel earned her degree in Information Technology at the University of Recoletos in Cebu. She had her first exposure with Piolo Pascual in the Max’s restaurant commercial. Isabel became more famous in the GMA TV series entitled “Sugo,”opposite Richard Gutierrez wherein she played the role of Isabel. She can always be seen in magazines, billboards and other print ads and regularly appear in a variety of GMA TV shows.

In 2004, she started with her acting career through the movie “It Might Be You” and an episode in “Maalala Mo Kaya” with actors John Pratts and Baron Geisler. In 2005, she transferred to GMA Network. In 2006, she starred in the movie “Moments Of Love,” in which she played the role of a younger sister to Dingdong Dantes. In “Sine Novela: Maging Akin Ka Lamang,” she was tasked to play a role of Rosita, together with Nadine Samonte and Polo Ravales. She then played Alakdanessa, a scorpion heroine in “Gagambino” with Dennis Trillo.

She was supposed to be included in “Darna” with Marian Rivera in 2009, wherein she will portray a villainous Babaeng Tuod, but because her father is ailing, she turned the project down. In “Kaya Kong AButin ang Langit” she played an antagonist opposite Iza Calzado. In a Korean telenovela Philippine version “Full House,” Isabel Oli played the role of Elaine. Last 2010, she was also a part of “Rosario” with Jennylyn Mercado playing the lead role.

A Kapamilya ABS-CBN actor John Pratts professed his interest to actress Isabel Oli. It was only recently that they admitted they are going out on exclusively and many believed that they are already a couple. Pratts is very vocal that he likes Isabel so much that he is praying she will be the one and the last love he will ever have. John said that he was praying for a girl that he can keep forever. And this was through Isabel.

Isabel Oli had suffered depression when her father died after a battle of cerebral degeneration last June 2012. He was in coma for eight long months before he finally went home to our Creator. The actress still feels a sudden rush of longing, even after a year of her Dad’s death. She knows that it would be difficult to move on, but she trusts she can do it soon and fast. Acceptance may be hard, but it is the consolation that Isabel is aware that her Dad is in a better place that keeps her going. It’s actually the prayer that keeps her going, she reveals. The occasion helped her to be closer to her mom. When she sees her mother lonely, she brings her to the tapings.

Isabel Oli offers her success to his Dad, and draws strength in the happy memories that he had spent with her. To date, she wants to achieve success in her career so that her Dad would be very proud of her wherever he is now.
