Dennis Trillo is Abelardo Dennis Florendo T. Ho, who was born on May 12, 1981 from his parents Florita Florencio Ho and Abelardo Leslie Ho in Quezon City. He stands 5”8 and pursued a college education at Miriam College taking B.A. in International Studies. He studied at the Ateneo De Manila University in grade school and went to finish his secondary education at the Philippine Women’s University Jose Abad Santos Memorial School. Dennis is a of a Filipino – Chinese descent and has a love child with former actress Carlene Aguilar in 2007.
Dennis Trillo is a Filipino singer, actor and a model. He was the member of the band called Myog prior to starting his career in the show business.His career was managed under the ABS CBN Network in 2000 and was a member of the network’s Star Magic. He was given a role in the television show Pangako sa ‘Yo and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan under the network and later transferred in GMA Network and was a cast to the network’s television shows Love to Love and Twin Hearts. He was able to take the lead role in the fantasy themed teleserye Mulawin. His acting gained tremendous recognition in the movie Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita which earned him several awards and citations. The film was about the Japanese World War II. He won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the 30th Metro Manila Film Festival. The Golden Screens Award in 2010 made him the best supporting actor and was the New Movie Actor of the Year as well as a best actor by the PMPC in 2007. He was nominated as the Best Drama Performance by an actor nominee in the Asian TV Awards in the same year. He was the Pinakapasadong Actor in 2007 and won other prestigious awards from other award giving bodies like the PMPC Star Awards for Movies, Film Academy of the Philippines and Young Critics Circle.
He also appeared in several television shows like the Darna, a fantasy themed TV series and Etheria taking the lead role of a Sapirian prince. He also performed with a drama forte in acting in the anthology Now and Forever: Agos. Dennis starred in the horror movies too like the film Pamahiin. He also became the host in the GMA’s noontime show SOP. He has the opportunity to become a part of the show’s Starband where he played the drum. He started filming the movie Kulam under the Regal Film and at the same filming for the fantaserye Zaido under GMA 7.
Dennis Trillo was also busy in the afternoon soap opera show Magdusa Ka in 2008 and he also took the lead role in Gagambino that aired for a year. He was also the cast in the comedy tv show Adik sa Yo and became the host in the StarStruck V. He was then made a regular host for the GMA Variety Program Party Pilipinas and was made a cast in the GMA’s fantasy series Dwarfina. He was also the cast in the longest running comedy show in the Philippines, Bubble Gang.
Among the movies that Dennis starred are Shake, Rattle & Roll 14, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Temptation Island, My Neighbor’s Wife, Shake, Rattle & Roll 14 Master Sgt. Martin Barrientos Boy Pick-Up: The Movie, Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, Rosario, Tarot, Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie, Mag-ingat Ka Sa…Kulam, I.T.A.L.Y., TxT, Shake, Rattle & Roll 9, Blue Moon, Pamahiin, Mulawin: The Movie, Luv Text 2 and Mano Po 3: My Love. Dennis launched his own self titled album Dennis Trillo under Universal Records in 2006.
