Alice Dixson, a Filipina American actress, model and former beauty queen is born as Jessie Alice Celones Dixson, her named is often misspelled Alice Dixon. She was born on July 28, 1969 to an American father and a Filipino mother. Alice finished her Bachelor of Arts here in the Philippines. She later on pursue further studies in real estate at the University of British Columbia and at the Gold Coast School of Real Estate. She is a licensed realtor in the Province of British Columbia in Canada and in the State of Florida, USA. She is a member of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami &The Beaches (RAMB) and the Florida Multiple Listing Service
Alice’s show business career started when she played the role of Faye, a fairy princess who fell in love with a man played by Vic Sotto in the comedy series Okay Ka, Fairy Ko. She was discovered in a variety show Eat Bulaga where she won and gained the title Reyna Ng Santacruzan in 1986. Its host Vic Sotto who also happens to be the owner of M-Zet Productions which produced the Okay Ka, Fairy Ko requested Alice to be part of the show. In the year 1986 Alice was a contestant in Binibining Pilipinas and became the Philippine representative for Miss International in Nagasaki, Japan. She became one of the semi-finalists in this prestigious beauty contest. Alice also gained popularity in the TV Commercial Palmolive Soap because of the popular phrase “I can feel it.”
She made a showbiz comeback in 2011 where she played a role in Babaeng Hampaslupa. Shows like Glamarosa (2012) and Enchanted Garden (2012) followed. She also appeared in the movies Panday 2 and Just One Summer. Her current TV series is Never Say Goodbye on TV 5.
Being a good actress Alice Dixson won several awards which included 1998 Manila Film Festival as Best Actress Awardee for the movie Sambahin Ang Ngalan Mo. She was also nominated as The Best Actress in the 1997 Manila Film Festival. Alice also got recognition in the Creative Guild of Accredited Advertising Agencies as the Commercial Model Discovery in 1987.
Alice married Ronnie Miranda, an IT specialist in May 28, 1999 in Richmond British Columbia. The marriage didn’t last and they got separated on January 2012. Both filed for divorce in Vancouver on December 2012 and was granted on February 2013.
The actress has no children. She says having kids may be a priority for other people but not for her. Alice was married to her former husband for almost 12 years but didn’t have any kids. This was a decision they both agreed upon. The actress likes to run and go biking during her spare time to stay fit. She also enjoys playing badminton and doing yoga. She prefers to have a relationship with a non-showbiz personality.
