Jolo Revilla is the screen name of Ramon Revilla III, born on April 9, 1989. Jolo is a Filipino actor, comedian and a politician who had previously worked under GMA Network. His parents were Senator Bong Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Mercado, who are both active in the Philippine movie industry and politics world. In the October 2010, Jolo started his political career by running as a Barangay Captain of Panapan VII in Bacoor, Cavite of which he won. Later, he was elected as the President of the Association of Barangay Captains in Cavite, and eventually landed him a seat as an ex-officio board member of the Provincial Council.

In the 2013 elections, he ran for the vice gubernatorial seat, together with Jonvic Remulla as his running mate. And expectedly, they won over a rival team Ronald Jay Lacson, and Ayong Maliksi. He had amazingly surpassed the record of former Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. to be the youngest elected vice governor in the history of Philippine politics. Although he is busy attending to his constituents and work as a vice governor, Jolo still balances his time to fulfill his responsibilities as a son, a brother and also a father to his son by Rosanna Roces’ daughter.

Jolo has memorable appearances in a TV series remake entitled “Kaputol Ng Isang Awit,” as Ramon Salcedo. He was originally a GMA 7 talent but later decided to transfer to ABS-CBN network. He was top billed as “Pepeng Agimat,” in another TV remake series, this time under ABS-CBN. This remake was originally played by his grandfather Ramon Revilla Sr.

Jolo admits being in a relationship with actress Jodi Sta. Maria now, but denied any plans for marriage yet. Jodi Sta. Maria is the ex-wife of Pampy Lacson, son of Senator Ping Lacson. She had a son by him, and currently, they are in the process of annulling the marriage. Pampy has a new girl now, Iwa Moto, who is also an actress and movie celebrity. She is pregnant now.

His parents Bong and Lani, do not meddle with Jolo’s relationship with Jodie, and quick to add that as long as Jolo truly loves the girl, they will support him in his decisions. They find Jodie nice and becoming, he says, and actually watches Jodie’s “Be Careful With My Heart,” TV series in ABS-CBN opposite Richard Yap.

Young as he is, Jolo takes his political responsibilities seriously. He is keen in fulfilling his platforms and promises he made at the height of the2013 election campaign. He is set to follow his father, Senator Bong Revilla’s footsteps, of being a true and sincere public servant to the Filipino people.

Jolo hopes to still continue his acting career in the future, through TV guestings and few movies perhaps so that he won’t miss the fans that had been loyal to him.
