Paolo Elito M. Ballesteros IV is popularly known as Paolo Ballesteros born on November 29, 1982 in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. He is a Filipino actor, model and a regular co-host of the longest noon time show, Eat Bulaga. He finished his studies at Saint Louis University in Baguio City with a degree of AB Communications. He is a descent of the National Artist Fernando Amorsolo and actress Eula Valdez is his aunt. He has a daughter, Keira Claire from a previous relationship with Kaye Nevada. Paolo is the Image Youth Model of National Red Cross of The Philippines.
Paolo Ballesteros started his hosting career in 2001 when he joined personalities Derek Ramsay and Phoemela Barranda as a segment host for Eat Bulaga’s campus pageant, U-Bet. After the segment ended, he was absorbed to be a regular co-host of Eat Bulaga. Through the noon time show and his great camaraderie to his fellow co-hosts, Paolo was able to gain a fan base. In 2002, he was awarded Best New Male Personality at the Star Awards for Television. At the same year, he was a cast in GMA TV shows Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin and Kahit Kailan. He also played Danica Sotto’s boyfriend in Daddy Di Do Du, starred by veteran TV and movie comedienne, Vic Sotto. He was then chosen to cast in films, Pakisabi Nalang and Anghel sa Lupa under Regal Films.
In year 2007, although Paolo never really left the noon time show Eat Bulaga, his appearance in the said show was reduced from daily to weekly. This gave him a chance to explore more of his acting capabilities. He was made a cast in a sci-fi independent film Xenoa where his stunts doing action scenes were required from him. Soon after, he was also included in the casting of Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan being one of the main villains. He played the role tranvestite grandson of Kuuma Le–ar. He became more known for his role as Ida because of him taking a role as Precious Paola Nicole in Eat Bulaga’s BEBOT segment from which he won the title in 2005. He also got the chance to work with real life sweethearts, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes in the TV show Dyesebel and as Afie in Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang. He was also known to have played the role of the rival of Regine Velasquez in the series, I Heart You, Pare!
To this date, Paolo is kept busy with his hosting job in Eat Bulaga doing a segment for Juan for all, All for Juan along with the comic duo Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola. He also appears in TV5’s Kidlat, playing the role of a villain to Derek Ramsey. With Paolo doing gay roles, it was a big question to the press of his sexual preference. Paolo answers that as part of his job, he dresses like a woman, but in real life, it never occurred to him to dress and act like a woman.
