Baron Frederick von Geisler, better known as Baron Geisler is a multi-award winning Filipino Actor. He was born June 5, 1982 in Clark Air Base, Angeles City to a Filipina mother and a German-American dad who was then stationed at the former U.S. Military base in Angeles City. He is the younger brother of Olympic Taekwondo jin, Donald Geisler.
Baron Geisler started his career in 1994 where he joined the teen gag show, Ang TV. He was also a member of StarCircle Batch 5. He was considered one of ABS-CBN’s most promising young stars together with John LloydCruz and Marc Solis. They were the boy trio that time in Koolits opposite Kristine Hermosa as his partner.
His life and showbiz career was full of controversies. While considered as one of Philippine Cinema’s good actor, he confessed being addicted to alcohol and was involved in numerous brawls. The two visible scars on his left cheek is one proof of him being involved in one of the said brawls that he’s involved in. Baron also joined Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2 where he was nicknamed “Wild Child”. He is recently the newest “Bad Boy” image in the showbiz industry. He was known to have had a past relationship with actress Jodi Sta. Maria, his loveteam during theirTabing Ilog days.
Aside from being involved in fights, Baron also had his own share of different lawsuits. He faced a harassment complaint from actress Cherry Pie Picache. Picache, Baron’s co-star in a TV series Noah, accused him of groping her breast on the set of the said series. Baron denied the allegation saying that it was only an ‘accidental touch’. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol during that day of their taping. Baron did a public apology that time right after the incident in the presence of Cherry Pie Picache according to his manager, Arnold Vigafria.
He also faced lawsuit against Patricia Martinez, daughter of actor William Martinez and actress Yayo Aguila. Patricia said that she was sexually harassed by Baron in which of course, the actor has denied engaging. Yayo Aguila is Baron’s former housemate in the PBB: Celebrity Edition 2. Like Patricia, actressYasmien Kurdi also filed a case of the same offense against Baron. Julia Clarete also accused him for acts of lasciviousness.
These happenings in his life prompted Baron to enter rehab. After finishing his 90-day treatment session in rehab, Baron and Yasmien reconciled which made the latter withdraw the case against him. Baron Geisler also admitted before in an interview that he is struggling from an extreme bipolar disease and is under a strict medication for the said illness.
Being a good actor, Baron had been a part of several movies. Among them was Viva Films 2011 MMFF entry, Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story. Some of the movies he took part in are Ang TV The Movie, Anak, Jologs, Wag Kang Lilingon, A Love Story, Supahpapalicious, Baler, Kimmy Dora, Noy, Cinco, and El Presidente among others. He also appeared in TV programs under different TV networks. Some of which are Tabing Ilog, Vietnam Rose, Maging Sino Ka Man, Eva Fonda, Noah, Kidlat, and many others.
