Karel Marquez is Karla Ysabel Marquez Santos in real life. Karel is a prominent Filipino actress, a good singer and TV host in Philippine movie and Television industry. She is under contract with GMA network. Karel was born on December 21, 1986 in Manila, Philippines and started her career as a contract talent of ABS-CBN Star Magic Batch 10.
Karel was famously known as a VJ in Myx, also a subsidiary of ABS CBN in 2003. She still continued to be a VJ until 2007 although her contract already expired with the network. Karel then appeared in an afternoon GMA drama entitled “Pati Ba Pintig Ng Puso?,” together with Yasmien Kurdi, JC de Vera and Chynna Ortaleza. She was also a member of “SOP Rules,” opposite Kyla, Karylle, Jennelyn and Yasmien. She also hosted a segment in “Bitoy’s Funniest Video, “called “Just 4 Kikay’s.” In “Zaido,” she portrayed a role named Lyka. Her mother is also a famous singer and actress named Pinky Marquez and her father is Dr. Eduardo Santos. Karel has two siblings. In 2008, she married Armand Go and had their first daughter whom they named Keiley Audrianna in 2009. The couple had a church wedding the same year and a son was born in 2010 and named him Kyler Armand.
