Robert Riu Andrews, better known as Bobby Andrews is a Filipino-American actor, model, and a former matinee idol. He was born on November 30, 1976. He was very popular during his younger years together with his onscreen loveteam partner, Angelu de Leon. Bobby is married to Bienne Co, a Chinese woman whom he has two kids, Arty and Gabbie.
In 1990’s, Bobby Andrews was being paired to actress Angelu de Leon in different TV series. Their love team then was very popular which made their TV programs reached high ratings and their movies became blockbuster hits. The two were being teamed up for shows like the teen-oriented T.G.I.S. and Growing Up of GMA 7. He also did Ikaw Na Sana, Ganyan Kita Kamahal, and Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga. But when Angelu admitted in 1998 that she was pregnant with Joko Diaz’ child, Bobby’s popularity came to a halt. Despite of this, Bobby never stopped from supporting his mother studio. He did his best to be a solo actor and landed in different TV series (jumping from GMA 7 to ABS-CBN and vice-versa). He also managed to do movies without his on-screen partner, Angelu de Leon.
He then came to ABS-CBN to be part of the fantaserye, Marina in 2004 which led by actress Claudine Barreto. After a year, he came back to GMA 7 to do the fantasy series Encantadia: The First Season and did Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat in 2006. Among other TV series that he took part in are Tierra Sangre, GMA Love Stories, Halik Sa Apoy, Walang Kapalit, Lobo (with angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual), Codename: Asero, Obra, PareKoy, Zorro, Sine Novela Presents: Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit, Claudine Presents: Stage Mother, Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Impostor, Mara Clara (the remake), Rod Santiago’s The Sisters, Wansapanataym: Sabay-Sabay Pasaway, Munting Heredera, Maalaala Mo Kaya: Panyo, Wansapanataym: Dollhouse, Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka, Magandang Morning Philippines (host), the youth-oriented show Teen Gen which reunites him with on-screen partner, Angelu de Leon, Indio, and the GMA’s latest drama series, Love and Lies which stars Richard Gutierrez and Michelle Madrigal.

Though now a family man, Bobby has been consistently visible in the soap opera circuit. He is presently a member of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) along with actress Gladys Reyes and Liezel Martinez.
