Considered as one of the famous Filipino actress, model, singer and host, Rica Peralejo is Regina Carla Bautista Peralejo born on March 7, 1981, she is a member of ABS-CBN homegrown talents known as Star Magic. She studied at an all-girls school, School of the Holy Spirit. Rica’s showbiz career started in a children’s variety show entitled “Ang TV,” which is under ABS-CBN production. She has a sister who is also an actress like her named Paula Peralejo.

Her teenage showbiz career bloomed when she joined various teen oriented shows such as “Gimik,” and “T.G.I.S.” Other movies included “Banyo Queen,” with Andrew E., and “Ex-Con.” She had her first lead role in the movie “Balahibong Pusa,” where she was given the title “Bold Queen.” Her movies “Malikmata,” and “Matakot ka sa karma” were all blockbusters. Aside from being an actress, Rica Peralejo is also into singing. Her album entitled ‘Ikaw Pa Rin at Ako” with the carrier hit single “Fallin” was released in the late 1990’s. Rica’s songs were also featured on the movie “Sa Huling Paghihintay” namely “Can We Just Stop and Talk Awhile,” “Maghihintay Ako” and “Bakit Mahal Kita.”

Although she had various love affairs the likes of Bernard Palanca, they had chosen to separate after years of togetherness. While attending a worship service in the Victory Church at the Fort, she met Joseph Bonifacio, a youth pastor in the said church. They fell in love and eventually married. Rica says Joseph is a man of God; therefore he has all the potentials and the characteristics of being the best father, good husband and provider. Rica Peralejo looks like she has the best love of her lifetime. She took a break from her showbiz career to focus on her married life. She has found a new relationship with the Lord and contentment in life.

Recently, Rica Peralejo appeared in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” after taking the much needed break from her acting career. She portrays the role of Minda, a young widowed mother who left her children to find a job at the care of her in-laws after her husband died. It was only later that she found out that her children was maltreated. This appearance marked her third starring role in the longest running drama anthology.

Personally, she had already finished her English Literature course at the Ateneo de Manila which aside from being a wife made her busy and less visible the recent years. She was having a hard time adjusting to school, showbiz and her married life. Rica however graduated last March and is planning to pursue her Masteral course on Sociological or Cultural Studies which she finds interesting.

Rica Peralejo shares her joy in being active in the church where his husband is currently holding his ministry as a pastor. She said there is always that inner peace and joy in spirit every time she is into doing church related activities. Indeed Rica Peralejo had grown and matured as an amazing woman of today; an actress, a singer, a wife, a student and a Christian.
