Angelica Jones is a Filipina actress, comedienne, singer turned politician in the Philippines. She is Angelica Alarva in real life and was born on January 20, 1983 in Brgy Santisimo, Rosario, San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines. Presently, she works and serves as a Board Member in the 3rd District of Laguna, Philippines.
Angelica started her acting career in “That’s Entertainment,” in 1992. She was eventually seen in the noontime show “Magandang Tanghali Bayan,” and in a drama series “Basta’t Kasama Kita,” as Shai. She also appeared as co-host in “Chow Time Na!” in 2004 and lasted till 2006. Later, she starred in “La Vendetta,” in 2007. Her movies include “Mr. Suave” in 2003 opposite Vhong Navarro and “Enteng kabisote 2: Okay ka Fairy Ko: The legend goes on and on and on,” in 2006.
Angelica is always doubted about her capabilities being a Provincial Board Member of her province and she always brushes them aside, because politics is similar to showbiz and there will always be propaganda’s against each opponent especially during campaign periods.
It was just recently that her personal life was controversial because of her son not being acknowledged by his father. His son’s name is Timothy Benedict Alarva Alday, the father of which is Councilor Alday of Batangas, Philippines. He was a doctor and a politician at the same, and it was recalled that he denied being the father of Angelica’s son, especially when she was still pregnant. A DNA test proved that the little boy was indeed the son of the councilor, and now all is well that ends well. In the baptism of Timothy, the Alday’s were also present.
Angelica doesn’t want to confirm if there are wedding plans because she wants to prioritize her son more than anything else. The baptism was held at the Cathedral of Saint Paul and the reception was at the Sanctuario Resort in San Pablo City, Laguna.
Angelica was once considered as one of the sexiest actresses and “flawless” at that in Philippine showbiz and entertainment. When offers begin to simmer down, she tried her luck in politics, and fortunately her town mates gave her the chance to prove herself as a public servant. She is happy now, because she had slowly achieved her purpose in her life, being a mother, an actress and a board member which is a public post that can pave the way for her to serve the people of her province.
Angelica is busy attending to her work as a board member and whatever things are said of her by detractors, she still manages to smile and work sincerely. She may not be perfect, and often times she is laughed at and ridiculed, but she proved herself a fighter, and had nothing in mind but someday she will be recognized by what she had done in her town, and make her son proud of her. Her motto is that ‘you cannot please everybody” and people will always find the something negative about her, but let them be, because in her heart, she wants to be help her town mates in whatever way she can.
