Philippine showiz Matt Evans is Matthew Nicolas “Matt” Evans in real life. Born October 22, 1988 in the Philippines, he is a Filipino actor of American descent. His father, Thalmage Eugene Evans is an American while his mother Vivien Mercado Nicolas is a Filipino. Matt has two other siblings of different fathers: Mark, who is a full Filipino and Akira, who is a half-Japanese.
He was first known as a contender of the Philippine reality TV show, Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition of ABS-CBN. He then rose to fame through his teleseryes like Rosalka, Tanging Yaman, and Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko.
Matt resides in Quezon City, Philippines. In 2010, he found out from his uncle that his biological father, who had left his mom before he was born, died from a heart attack. Matt’s father was then a part of the United States Air Force based in the Philippines when his parents met.
He also has his own of controversy when the news of him beating his then pregnant non-showbiz girlfriend, Johnelline Hickins (daughter of former sexy star, Coca Nicolas) shocked the showbiz world. Though Matt and Johnelline already settled their problem, the couple has no plans of getting back to each other’s arms. In an interview, Matt said that he will still be there to support the baby but not anymore for his girlfriend.
