Carlene Ang Aguilar was born on February 8, 1982 to Raul Aguilar and Catherine Ang. She is a Filipina actress, model and a former beauty queen. She was crowned Miss Philippines Earth and Bb. Pilipinas-World. Carlene has three siblings, one brother and two sisters and they all grew up in Quezon City, Philippines. She spent her elementary and secondary education at the Immaculate Conception Academy in Greenhills and finished her degree at the University of the Philippines, in Diliman, Quezon City.
When she was crowned the title of Miss Philippines Earth, she represented the country to the 2001 Miss Earth pageant and was included as one of the semi-finalists. She also represented the country in Miss Chinese International in 2004 when she won as Miss Chinatown Manila. She won 2nd place at the said pageant. Carlene was also crowned as Binibining Pilipinas World at the 2005 Binibining Pilipinas Pageant. Aside from these prestigious pageants, Carlene was also named Miss Philippine Airlines and Miss Avon. In 2005, she was again a semi-finalist at Miss World held in China. Carlene ventured into the showbiz world of entertainment and had performances with Hongkong’s TVB Network, where she worked for several months.
Later, when she returned to the Philippines, she joined a dance show at ABS-CBN “U Can Dance.” She was then billed as the beauty titlist in “Dancing with the Stars,’ Filipino Version of whom she was paired with Dindo Divinagracia. Carlene also joined in “Celebrity Duets,” but was not able to make it in the finals.
Her movie appearance was in the 34th MMFF movie entry entitled “Iskul Bukol: 20 Years After,” together with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon. Carlene also had another appearance in the movie, “Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang,” opposite Angelu de Leon. She also co-starred in “Rosalinda,” with GMA stars Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann.
In the midst of her career, she was rumored pregnant by Dennis Trillo, and on September 22, 2007, she gave birth to a baby boy which she named Calix Andreas. She is now expecting her second child by Yo Ocampo, of whom she had married and happy to be with.
Dennis Trillo on the other hand is happy on what’s going on in Carlene’s life. It is because they are still friends in spite of the fact that they did not end up with each other, but Dennis is not keen on changing his son’s surname because he says that Calix is his son and nothing can ever change that fact. He however respects the both of them and wishes them the best in their marriage.
After she gives birth, Carlene will be once again visible and continue her career as a TV and movie personality. She is happy with her life and achievements that she had fulfilled. Now she is ready to face another chapter in her life: and that is being a mother and a wife.
