A Young designer Katrina of Silk Cocoon, makes plenty formal wear and ready to wear clothing as well. She had observed that more women are choosing clothes that can be worn from the office to cocktails. And she had chosen Gwen to model for her. Gwen was so ecstatic because she had been offered a modeling job in Paris at a younger age of 14 or 15 but her mother did not allow her yet. It was after she went home to Manila and joined the pageant was she allowed to model.
Gwen has a very versatile aura and can change her looks depending on what clothes she wear. As a model she can be a Filipina, or European, and she can appear exotic or Caucasian. This talent she says she inherited from her mom who is also a model in her own right. She happily admits that her mother had influenced her a lot. Her mom brings her every time she had a modeling gig, and even though when was pregnant with her, she still modeled.
And now, Gwen admits she had the passion to model like her mother. She explains that she love to wear clothes that talk about different character and personality. She goes with mixed clothes, Asian or European, which reveals about some of her own personality. Gwen is just too happy to have both worlds, when she is in Paris she still eats Filipino food and talks Tagalog. Deep inside, Gwen is still proud to be a Filipino where ever she goes.
