Born on May 23, 1995, Lou Eula May Caballero Simo is a Filipina Actress and better known as Eula Caballero. Lou Eula originates from Boljoon, Cebu and her proud parents are Mary Lou Caballero-Simo and Euladio Simo. She is the Grand Winner of the First Star Factor celebrity contest. Her acting career started in a TV appearance in the series “Nandito Ako” in TV5. She then portrayed a role in the drama series “Sa Ngalan ng Ina,” with Nora Aunor as the lead role. In the movie entry to the MMFF, she was pitting with veteran actress Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano and seasoned actor Gabby Concepcion in “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.”
Last June 6, 2013, she celebrated her 18th birthday at Oasis Events Place. Her visitors include her closest friends and family. She was wearing a spectacular gown by Ariel Agasang and she appeared and looked like a princess making her grand entrance. The program also included 18 Fortunes and 18 Warriors instead of the traditional 18 roses and gifts. These were participated by men and women close to her. The celebration was successful and ended with a message from Eula’s mother. Among the visitors were director Eric Quizon and TV5’s Head of Entertainment and Creative Service, Perci Intalan.
Her TV series “Cassandra: Warrior Angel” over TV5 turned a new chapter in her life. There are several challenges that she is facing but says she will be equipped to handle and deal with them. Despite her age, she feels she has the maturity to meet the demands of being an actress. Eula had come a long way indeed after Star Factor.
Way back, she was just a simple teenager on a slow town Boljoon and had a hard time adjusting to city life. In Manila, she experienced a very fast paced life, a little bit chaotic because of the many people around her. It was just too much to take for a “probinsyana” because she really started without any background on how things are going in the world of entertainment. She was 15 then, when she auditioned in Star Factor.
The auditioned started with a casual question, “do you have a boyfriend,” from director Joey Reyes, and she suddenly wept instead of answering. The reason behind is that she had just broken up with the boy because her mother disapproves of the relationship. The quick tears were all the luck she needed. The judges took this as a sign that she had deep emotions which can be useful in her acting career in the future. It was history. She emerged Star Factor’s Grand Winner.
Breaks and offers got along her way, and for what she is now, she takes pride on her ancestry, her once simplicity in a far flung town down Cebu. Eula was completing her last year in secondary education through a home study program, and hopes to graduate soon. She hopes to be an inspiration to other people that achieving a dream needs a lot of work to do. Eula dreams of taking a Culinary Arts course in the future because she loves cooking and her family is into baking. She might not notice, but she is becoming famous in her own way.
