Dianne Marie Romana better known as Dimples Romana of Philippine showbiz is a Filipino actress,TV host, and commercial model. She was born November 13, 1984 and was raised in Paranaque City, Philippines. Dimples is a two-courser graduate. She finished Bachelor of Science in Tourism in the University of Santo Tomas and another from Enduron College with International Hospitality Management major in Culinary Arts.
She made her first appearance in the hit teleserye, Esperanza in 1997 which starred Judy Anne Santos in the main role. Afterwhich, she was made a regular cast in ABS-CBN youth-oriented show, Tabing-Ilog together with other youngstars John Lloyd Cruz, Kaye Abad, Jodi Sta. Maria, Baron Geisler, Desiree del Valle, Patrick Garcia, Paolo Contis and Paula Peralejo. Dimples also played John Lloyd Cruz’s best friend in the hit teleserye, Kaytagal Kang Hinintay with Bea Alonzo and Lorna Tolentino.
Dimples Romana was already making a name for herself when showbiz had to take a backseat. She got married at the young age because she was pregnant to his non-showbiz boyfriend, Boyet Ahmee.
After being out in the show business for a couple of years, Dimples came back via the movies All My Life and Minsan Pa. She also accepted TV projects including Ang Panday, Sineserye Presents, Lobo(with Angel Locsin), George and Cecil (with couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos), and Only You. She also played Criselda Barrameda, the primary antagonist in the hit Fantaserye, Agua Bendita starring Andi Eigenmann.
In 2012, she was made to play the role of Alvira del Valle in the remake of the 1992 hit series Mara Clara. She also appeared in several episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, 100 Days to Heaven, Lorenzo’s Time and her most recent project with Bea Alonzo, A Beautiful Affair.
Aside from being an actress, Dimples also co-hosted the show, Kabuhayang Swak na Swak alongside Bobby Yan, an informative program about running and maintaining a business. Dimples is also a proud sister to Bam Romana, a former housemate in ABS-CBN’s reality show, Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Bam is now a registered nurse and an English teacher in a Korean school located in Paranaque.
To prove her worth in acting, Dimples was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in 2008 FAMAS Awards for the movie, One More Chance.
