Cathy Remperas was born on October 8, 1987 and is a Filipino nurse, joined a reality show search and later become an actress, model and TV host. She is currently a talent of the ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. Cathy graduated from Holy Name University in 2008 from a Nursing degree. She joined one of the biggest reality shows on ABS-CBN entitled “Pinoy Big Brother,” but was finally evicted on Day 105. She considers being a housemate in PBB her greatest accomplishment and getting her license as a registered nurse. Cathy dreams to be with Vilma Santos when she gets the chance because she truly admires her as an actress and as a person. She admits being flexible and easy to get along with as long as she doesn’t meet inconsiderate people.
Although Cathy stayed in Bohol, she is actually from Zambonga but she was led to Bohol in search of her father. When she finally got to see each other, her father has been with another family already and she had the chance to see her other siblings. It was quite painful for her, and maybe that was also the reason why she opts to have relationships with men older than her, for a father figure. She personally feels that older men can take care of her.
While in the PBB house, she was wrapped in a controversy when she wore the nurse’s uniform as a costume in “Spooktakular PBB launch.” The president of the Philippine Nurses Association protested the portrayal of the nurse and the inappropriate wearing of the nurse uniform on the show. She said that the incident is damaging to the good image of a Professional nurse, in which the management issued an official apology stating that the program will be more sensitive on issues related to what happened.
Cathy had been already a beauty queen before joining the contest when she won the 1st runner up award in the Miss Bohol International in 2006. She was already doing some modeling as a part time job. She was last seen hosting the Miss Bohol 2009 together with Raul Gatal an also hosted the first season of “Runway Icon’s The Glamour 12 Model Search.”
Although she did not win in the reality contest, she had proven herself to be one of the best participants who had really shown the real personality she possesses. Although she has not yet been that active in the showbiz world, and had not yet offered movie and TV projects, she continues to practice her profession as a Nurse. She believes she will also have her time, and being patient is always a good virtue.
Cathy now is spending her time with her family and had not any showbiz engagements so far. She continues to inspire people in her remarkable appearance as a housemate in PBB wherein she had imparted her own personality and values to the viewers. She hopes to be successful in whatever career she ventures and believes there is always time for everything.
