One of the freshest faces in the show business is Bangs Garcia. Born on May 27, 1987 in Davao City as Valeri Garcia, Bangs is a Filipino actress and a contract star of ABS CBN Network. She is the member of the network’s Star Magic where the best talents in the television and movie acting are being groomed. She is fondly called as Bangs Garcia because of the hair fringes or bangs that covered on her face that made her more popular. She initially joined the reality show Campus Idol where she was the grand winner. Her first national television appearance was from the Close Up to Fame, another reality search who came as a runner up from the grand winner Carine Cabebe.
Her first major television project under her mother network ABS CBN was in the kambal sa Uma, a teleserye where she played the antagonistic role of Ynez Ocampo. Bangs find the most challenging roles she had taken was in the teleserye Magkano ang iyong dangal? with the leading role as Carmela Bautista Morales. She is part of the cast together with Rayver Cruz and Sid Lucero. Bangs also graced the cover of the Men’s Magazines Maxim in 2008 and FHM in 2009 and 2010.
