Jose Manalo is a Filipino actor, comedian and host at the longest running noon time show Eat Bulaga. His real name is Ariel Pagtalonia Manalo born on February 12, 1966. Jose Manalo started appearing in TV shows until he was discovered by the T.A.P.E production where he was given a semi-regular role in the afternoon TV show, Valiente, his first real TV appearance and exposure. He had several projects then and was even able to appear in provincial live shows despite a hectic schedule in taping.
Jose Manalo, apart from being a good actor-comedian is also a good singer. When the T.A.P.E production absorbed him to be a regular co-host in Eat Bulaga in 2002, his fame has reached to the peak. Eventually he was partnered with Wally Bayola and became the comic duo. Jose appeared in many sitcoms starred by Vic Sotto in GMA Network such as Daddy Di Do Du and Full Haus. In 2010 he appeared at TV5 to do a sitcom along with Vic Sotto and Ritchie Reyes or otherwise known as Ritchie D’ Horsie entitled My Darling Aswang. The sitcom is actually Jose’s second TV show after Boyoyongs which was aired in 1992. With the tandem Jose and Wally gaining good ratings among the viewers, they were able to come up with a comic TV Show, The Jose & Wally Show Starring Vic Sotto together with Vic Sotto and Jimmy Santos. In GMA Network, he is a host of Celebrity Bluff and makes appearance at Vampire Ang Daddy Ko.
