Nadine Samonte is a Filipina commercial model and an actress. Born of a German father and a Filipino mother on March 2, 1988 in Germany, Nadine Samonte was first seen as a contender in the GMA’s first season of Star Struck. She was in the final 6 with the other Star Struck avengers Jennelyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Yasmien Kurdi, Rainier Castillo and Dion Ignacio. After being the last two avengers to be eliminated, she then received a contract to appear in the third season of Love to Love, a GMA tv show and took the role of Sophia in the soap drama afternoon show Ikaw sa Puso Ko. She also appeared in Kissing Beauty and Leya: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Ilalim ng Lupa. She also starred in the afternoon show Now and Forever and also graced Etheria, a television series with her presence. Her other tv shows include SOP Gigsters, Darna, Super Twins, Magic Kamison, Marimar, Sine Novela: Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap, Dear Friend: Jasmine’s Story, Suddenly its Magic, SRO Cinemaserye: Suspetsa, Claudine, Endless Love, My Lover, My Wife, Kidlat, Kidlat, game ‘N Go, Rod Santiago’s The Sisters, Valiente, and Carlo J. Not everyone must have known that Nadine is a Taekwondo blue belter. She started training for martial arts when she was 9 years old. She also has a problem with her knee that prevents her from taking the stairs and to perform strenuous activities. This has been a childhood problem and she has to take precautions against injuring her knees. She collects 150 pair of shoes mostly because of her endorsement with a shoe company Gibi. Nadine was awarded as the most promising actress by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
