Nadia Montenegro is a Filipina actress in Philippine entertainment. She had already appeared in various movies which include “14 Going Steady,” in 1984, “Flavor of the Month,” in 1990 and “Dyesebel,” in 1990. She had children with former Mayor Macario Boy Asistio, who are also gradually making name in the showbiz industry. Nadia is the sister of Tanya Montenegro, who was also an actress in Philippine Entertainment. She had a comeback as a TV host in 2004 and had rare appearances in some TV shows and movies.

It can be recalled that Nadia had a rift with Cristy Fermin, a journalist and a TV showbiz host regarding the issue that Nadia was pregnant without her husband’s knowledge. The nasty rumor was aired over Cristy’s show that rooted from word wars between her and Nadia. Cristy was giving details that Nadia used alias “Nadine Villegas,’ when she was confined in a hospital and gave birth to a baby girl. Cristy alleged that Nadia went home without the baby; instead a close friend also from showbiz took care of the child and brought her to Nadia after a few months. Nadia allegedly introduced the child to the family as her adopted. Nadia responded how can it be possible since she is staying with the family and it would be very impossible that her husband would not notice if she is pregnant.
Nadia had also ended a year rift with feisty Annabelle Rama, one of the celebrated controversies in the showbiz industry regarding Nadia’s daughters Ynna and Alynna. It only took a moment when they finally met in a Cebu trial court where Nadia and the children hugged and kissed Annabelle, and the latter immediately forgot what happened between them. They just simply kissed and made up. After the incident, they had lunch and exchange apologies, after which they talked just like the old times.
The rift started about a negative comment Nadia posted in Twitter, a networking site. The heated exchange of arguments led to one way to another until Nadia resorted to file complaints against Annabelle for grave oral defamation, slander by deed, attempted physical injuries and unjust vexation.
All’s well that ends well, because Nadia and Annabelle are back in each other’s arms again and perhaps are planning on how to regain Ynna and Alynna’s careers. It once again proved that there are no permanent friend and enemies in Philippine entertainment.
