Prior to her big break in the TV advert, little did people know that Carmina had appeared in a TV commercial for a chocolate drink being a background person or termed as “extra” with famous Filipina gymnast Bea Lucero.

Mina’s first appearance in films was at age 12 when Director Ishmael Bernal was looking for a little girl to play as little Maricel Soriano in the film Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa. It was in this film that she was honed to become an actress. It was also in the same year that she was chosen for the role little Dyesebel for Alice Dixon’s introductory film. She also appeared in many Television shows; That’s Entertainment as one of German Moreno’s talents, a co-host forthe noon time showEat Bulaga, played the tomboyish role of Cathy in Palibhasa Lalake, Abangan And Susunod Na Kabanata, Tropang Trumpo, Ganyan Kita Kamahal, Halik sa Apoy, Oki Doki Doc, Esperanza, Recuerdo De Amor Oka Tokat and more.

It was in 1994 when she was wedded to Rustom Padilla. Their marriage was annulled after the big revelation of Rustom Padilla’s real sexuality. In the later part, she lived in with Zoren Legaspi and had Twins in 2002. Carmina was taken by surprise as she was wedded on the spot to Zoren Legaspi on November 15, 2012. Their wedding could have been the best wedding event of the season. A non-traditional wedding, prepared by Zoren Legaspi, it was meant to surprise her in wedding proposal and to be swept to an on-the-spot wedding. Everything happened right on the same day. Little did Carmina know that everything was planned with the help of family and friends and also ABS-CBN 2.
