Raymond Oliver Cruz Illustre or popularly known as Rayver Cruz, born on July 20, 1989 to a family of actors and actresses. He is a cousin to Sheryl Cruz, Sunshine Cruz, Donna Cruz and Geneva Cruz, all are popular in the industry of show business because of their talents and contributions.
Rayver Cruz is a Filipino matinee idol who is a regular personality at ASAP, a musical variety show that goes on air every Sunday at ABS-CBN. Rayver Cruz is known to be a good dancer and is a member of the Ultimate Dance 4 together with Shaina Magdayao, John Prats and Maja Salvador. He also took on some acting roles and appeared in films and various television shows at ABS-CBN.
Rayver began in show business as a child who appeared first in a television show 5 and Up that aired in GMA from 1992 to 2002. He also appeared as Piolo in a comedy sitcom in GMA show Kiss Muna together with Joey de Leon and Elizabeth Oropesa. Eventually he transferred to ABS-CBN and took on his first lead role as Red in a Prime time Television series, Spirits in 2005. He was teamed up with Maja Salvador as her leading lady. In 2007, he also played another lead role as Mythos in Rounin in 2007.

At present, he is known to be dating Cristine Reyes and makes himself busy with his regular participation in ASAP and the latest television show, Bukas Nalang Kitang Mamahalin together with said steady girlfriend Cristine Reyes, Gerald Anderson, Dawn Zulueta, Dina Bonnevie, Ton Ton Guttierez and Diana Zubiri.
