John Carlo de Vera, the real name of J.C, de Vera was born on March 10, 1986 in Manila, Philippines. He is a popular actor and model in the field of Philippine entertainment. He is dubbed as the “pretty boy’ projecting an image of a hot and sexy leading man from the boy-next-door. J.C. went to Colegio San Agustin during his high school days and when he graduated, he was offered a basketball scholarship in Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He declined and instead pursued his career in showbiz industry.
He had his first exposure via the TV show “Click,” in 2003. He was teamed up with Valerie Concepcion and Julianne Lee but was later given supporting and lead roles in other TV series just like Richard Gutierrez, Dennis Trillo and Dingdong Dantes. Gab was also dubbed as GMA’s Drama Prince. He also starred in ‘Pati Ba Pintig Ng Puso,” “Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig,” and “Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita,” opposite Yasmien Kurdi. On the rumors of leaving Royale Era Management, Annabelle Rama’s management firm, JC admits that he doesn’t have any concrete plans yet. News coming from a reliable source insinuated that he is not happy about the way the management is handling his career. Although he has an existing exclusive contract with the network yet the projects are not that huge as he thinks it would be. JC is still a part of “Cassandra: A Warrior Angel,” and “Lokomoko U, all from TV5 Kapatid Network.
JC had already treated Annabelle Rama as her mother, and she is already familiar to him, he admits. Yet there are still some considerations with regard to his career. He says he is somewhat emotional and up to now he is having second thoughts. He had been with Annabelle’s management for 10 long years now, since JC was still starting in GMA 7. He said the talk between the two of them was a bit disturbing, yet they both agreed to weigh things before arriving at a final decision.
JC is just taking his time now, planning for a better future in his career. In the meantime, he is still busy with his TV shows in TV5. JC had Danita Paner as her girlfriend but admitted that they had parted ways after going steady for more than a year. It was recalled that they were paired together in TV5’s “Basta Driver Sweet Lover,” but they both decided to break up because of individual differences. They also confirmed that it was a mutual decision and that there was no third party involved and end up as friends. JC is just focusing on his acting career right now and hope to resolve things himself. He is taking one thing at a time.
