Jennica Garcia was born on December 26, 1989, in Quezon City, Philippines. She is a Filipina actress by profession in Philippine entertainment. Her parents are Jean and Jigo Garcia, also a popular actress and actor. Her real name is Jennica Alexis Martin Garcia, and her first entry to showbiz was in a role she portrayed in “Impostora,” over GMA 7 in 2007. She played the role of Karen Manansala.
Her first movie exposure was in “Hide and Seek,” with Regal Productions. She was teamed up with Mart Escudero, who was a winner in Ultimate Loveteam in Starstruck, together with actress Kris Bernal. They had a short relationship and broke up in 2009. They did not elaborate about the reason. She was given her lead role in “Ako si Kim Samsoon,” wherein she played the role of Eliza. She also starred in “Gagambino,” and “Adik Sa Yo,” opposite Dennis Trillo in 2009. After that, she garnered good reviews in her acting, and once again she appeared in “SRO Cinemaserye Series : Reunion,” with Sheena Halili and former boyfriend Mart Escudero.
Jennica had also experienced problems in her personal life in 2003 when their house was destroyed and in 2009, during the storm Ondoy. But this only added to her depth in acting as seen in various TV shows over GMA. She starred opposite her mother Jean Garcia in “Sine Novela: Ina Kasusuklaman Ba Kita?” Jennica was also in the cast of “Pilyang Kerubin,” her sixth GMA Telebabad show. Her first ever comedy TV shows was in “Jejemon,” and she was also included in “Bantatay,” in 2010. She then took a quick break from drama and came back in the TV show “Show Me Da Manny,” with champion boxer Manny Pacquiao. She was also seen in “Captain Barbell.”
It was her father who gave her advices when she first entered showbiz. He said you get to earn fast in this career but money can also be fleeting as well as stardom. Jennica shares that she really takes good care of her earnings and invest in properties that can be useful later on in life. She is just so thankful for all the blessings in her acting career and her new found love, Alwyn Uytingco. They are already in their fourth year of being together and she admits that she cannot ask for more. She is contented with what life and love has been offering her.
Jennica admits that she and Alwyn sometimes talks about their future of being together for the rest of their lives. They are seriously taking each other, and takes time really knowing the real them. And they both thank the Lord for being in the center of their relationship. She is still a talent of GMA, and her just concluded TV drama series “Bukod Kang Pinagpala,” was a real blockbuster in the afternoon prime time. This young actress cannot ask for anything more but good health and she’s just taking her time enjoying opportunities that comes her way.
