Amy Perez, a Filipina TV and radio personality, actress and host was born Ma. Armida Parale Sate-Perez on September 5, 1969 in Manila, Philippines. She finished her grade school at the Holy Child Parochial School located in San Juan and finished her secondary education at the St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina. She took up college at the Sienna College Of Quezon City and at the Ateneo Computer School Makati. Amy married Brix Ferraris a musician and the lead singer of the band South Border. Together they have a son named Adi. She filed for annulment from Brix but unfortunately this was denied by the Supreme Court and declared void on the basis of psychological incapacity. Amy has a new partner, radio host Carlo Castillo. Amy recently gave birth to her third son with Carlo, Isiah Joaquin whom she was forced to deliver via Caesarean section because the baby’s heart rate was falling. Isiah Joaquin is now three months old. Their second son Kyle is three years old. Amy owns a café business called Kolache Kafe.
During her earlier career Amy hosted the noon time show, Magandang Tanghali Bayan which aired on ABS-CBN. She stayed with the show for almost seven years. She also hosted M.R.S which stands for Most Requested Show in 2005. Amy starred in several TV series and movies. She played the role of Honey in the movie Anak Ni Baby Ama and also appeared in the movie Flavor of the Month with actor Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno. She also co-starred with bad boy Robin Padilla in the movie Sa Diyos Lang Ako Susuko in which she played the role Helen.
She also appeared in other movies like Petrang Kabayo Part 2, Ang Ganda Ganda Ko, Palibhasa Lalake, Ipagpatawad Mo, Tigasin ,Pera O Bayong and Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan. Amy was also cast to the TV series Habang Kapiling Ka and played the role as Divine Ogata and in the drama series Ikaw Sa Puso Ko which showed in the year 2004. She also appeared in series like Komiks in 2006 and Love Spell in 2007 in the episode Shoes Ko Po, Shoes Ko Day. Amy was also a character in the movie I’ve Fallen For You. Amy currently hosts Face To Face, a Philippine reality tabloid talk show together with co-host Jelli de Belen which airs on TV 5. The show is similar to the Jerry Springer show in the United States and the show is also known as the “Barangay Hall On-Air.”
