Roy Cabonegro is a consultant and a former specialist and team leader at the Human Rights Observatory of the Commission on Human Rights.
He is an environmental leader running for 2022 senatorial seat under Partido Lakas ng Masa. He chairs MAKAKALIKASAN (Nature Party of the Philippines) and Makakalikasan Marketing Cooperative.
Cabonegro was one of the Philippines’ delegates to the 12th Conference of Parties (COP) of the United Nations Convention of Biodiversity (UN-CBD) and to the 2nd Congress of Asia Pacific Greens Network in Taiwan.
He was also the Philippine delegate to the 2nd Assembly of the General Environment Fund and UN World Summit on Sustainable Development, both held in 2002.
