Ivan Mayrina was born on December 23, 1976 in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. He is popular TV media personality, host, reporter and segment producer. He was a segment producer of Unang Hirit, anchored GMA New Live, and is a professional reporter under GMA Network. He considers these events as the very highlights of his career “Erap arrest at Polk St,” The May 1 siege with colleague Jiggy Manicad,” “Quezon train tragedy” and the “David impeachment.” Before he joined broadcasting, he used to work at Ayala Life Insurance Inc. Corp as a Training Officer wherein he was a management trainee way back 1997 upon his graduation in college. Ivan was a consistent honor student when he was still in grade and high school, and he was the Champion as Impromptu Speaker in high school. He finished his college degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication Research College of Mass Communication at the University of the Philippines in April of 1997.
Ivan also attended various Trainings and Seminars which included, “Training the trainer,” “Fundamentals of Financial Services,” “Salesmanship,” “Effective Presentation Skills,” among others. He also works as a freelance host in several corporate events. Personally, he has the passion for cars, music, sports and fashion. He believes in the saying “Learn from your mistakes and don’t be afraid to suffer.”

But he makes sure that he really gets to spend time with his wife and children to make up from being busy in his work. He says he was raised really good by his father and mother, and describes them as a perfect family, and his father taught him to always be true and sincere in person and in whatever he does. Ivan is proud to say that his family had raised him with a very good support system and firm foundation, which is what he wants his own children would be when they grow up.
