Gab Drilon is the screen name of Gene Gabriel Drilon. He is born on March 15, 1984 and a Filipino-American actor. He is also a talent of Star Magic under ABS-CBN management network. Gab had his TV exposure in the teleseries entitled “Marina,” with Claudine Barretto in the title role. He was a former student of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas in Iloilo when he met Ronald Carballo and invited him to go to Manila to try joining the showbiz world.
He is now under the management of the DMV with Manny Valera as his manager. He transferred to GMA 7 network when his contract expired with ABS-CBN. His TV appearances include “Captain Barbell,” “Magpakailanman,” and he had appeared in the movies “Gigil,” and ‘Pacquiao.’ Gab also joined a contest entitled “All Star K,” wherein he emerged as the grand winner. A member of ‘Boyz.com,” Gab was always tasked to do the high notes for the group. They had their first concert wherein he rendered the song “The Wedding Singer” by Adam Sandler. He was also seen in ‘Maria Flordeluna.”
Gab Drilon is only a newcomer in the showbiz industry, and only wishes that he can make it big. Her parents are Gene Drilo and Vivan Demalata. When Gab graduated from high school, he took up UPCAT and passed at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. But fate intervened and his grandfather died and the family went home to Iloilo. And that is why he enrolled in the University of the Philippines in Iloilo City. But when he was offered a showbiz career, he decided it best to go back to Manila and try his luck while preparing to go to US to study a computer course in Animation and Graphic Designing.
Years back, Gab was involved with Maui Taylor. That time, Maui had just broken up with Bryan Revilla. Gab had denied courting Maui but told reporters, he had known her for quite some time after a “Magpakailanman” episode. But he also admitted that he had comforted Maui at that time that she needed someone to talk to. Gab was not prejudiced about her image as an actress because he understands that it is all work-related.
Gab is an active choir member in the Greenhills Fellowship Church, and can be seen in a recent Nestea TV Commercial.
