Alicia Mayer is Catherine Gutierrez, a Filipina model and actress in the Philippine movie industry. Her birthday is May 2, 1976 and she was born in Caloocan City, Philippines. Alicia also displayed her hosting skills in “Eat Bulaga,” the longest noontime variety show over GMA 7. In 2003, she was one of the sexy cover girl of FHM Men,s magazine. She played a remarkable role in TV show entitled “Lagot Ka, Isusumbomg Kita,” and Julianna, a villain in the afternoon TV drama “Saang Sulok Ng Langit.”
Alicia is also a cast in “Muli,” playing the role Of Rhea. This was a Filipino-Malaysian drama series in which she displayed her acting skills. Just recently, she was one of the spokespersons for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for being a full-pledged vegetarian. She is a self-proclaimed vegetarian, and she even had a photo shoot from international photographers, with only a lettuce bikini as her piece of clothing.
Alicia is promoting a vegetarian diet, and a rather healthy alternative than eating meat. Being a vegetarian she says, is also environmental, and one way of preserving Mother Earth. Alicia spends her spare time in helping support PETA’s advocacy of no-meat, all-vegetable for improving mental and physical health.
Alicia started her career as a model and that is where Mother Lily Monteverde discovered her. She was then renamed Alicia Meyer from Alicia Bonifacio and was repackaged as a daring actress. Aside from being an actress, she is also active in other sports such as diving, volleyball, swimming and badminton, and loves dogs for her pets.
The twist in her acting and modeling career began when she gave birth to Caliph Elijah at the Medical City last year. She delivered the baby the normal way. Although Caliph was a little bit bigger than they expected, she tried her best to have a normal delivery, and that made her very happy and fulfilled.
