Jestoni Alarcon was born on May 29, 1964 and his real name was Jesus Antonio Pineda Alarcon. He is a veteran actor and a politician, being a councilor in Antipolo City and Vice governor of Rizal Province. Jestoni was only 16 years old when he started his career in showbiz and was discovered by Vir Mateo. Jestoni’s first appearance in a movie was with dramatic and veteran actor Aga Muhlach in the film “Campus beat,” produced by Cheng Muhlach, Aga’s father. A follow up movie “Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit,” is with Maricel Soriano under the direction of Maryo delos Reyes. “Naked Paradise,” was his third movie under Baby Pascual opposite Stella Suarez, Jr. Although he had signed a two-year exclusive contract under Regal Films, the outfit did not give him any project until the contract expired.
Jestoni then worked under Seiko Films under a three-picture contract for three years. He had appeared in more than 20 movies with Seiko, which included “Mahiwagang Singsing,” which was his first movie with them. It was followed up by “Huwag Mong Buhayin Ang Bangkay,” opposite Charito Solis plays the role of his mother. Jestoni had made action films with Seiko although the production was known for producing sexy and daring films.
When he took a break from show business, he tried to be a public servant. He succeeded and finally become councilor and later vice-governor. Jestoni and his lovely wife had three children namely Jessica, Angela and Anthony Pierce, who are very active and athletic kids and interested in acting too. While Jessica loves acting, dancing and singing, Angela loves taekwondo and other types of sports.
Jestoni was previously involved in a controversy when his house was rented by syndicates without his knowledge. A Filipino broker contacted him and said his house will be rented and used by a garment business for P50, 000.00. He agreed and did not have any vague idea that something illegal is being done at the house. According to the Mayor of Cainta , 11 houses were used by the syndicates for fraudulent transactions. Jestoni is now very careful when dealing with this kind of people.
Movies to his name are, “Pieta,” “Marimar,” “Crazy For You,” ‘Komiks,” “Sugo,” “Tanging Ina,” Tomagan” “Twin hearts,” “Bituin,” and Huli Sa Akto.” Jestoni tried his luck to run as a congressman in 2010, but unfortunately he was not able to make it. This however did not stop him to continue serving his constituents in Antipolo, Rizal. He is still helping his fellow Antipolonians in whatever capacity he can through his friends who still believe in him. He always finds a way to fulfill what he had promised even he lost in the election.
Instead of dwelling on his lost, Jestoni opted to make a comeback as an actor, and luckily enough, up to now he is very visible in various TV projects especially in ABS-CBN. He co-stars in the new teleserye of the same network “Muling Buksan Ang Puso,” which stars veteran actors and actresses such as Pilar Pilapil, Dante Rivero, Susan Roces, Agot Isidro and Cherie Gil.
