Ana Roces real name is Marinella Adad and was born on February 2, 1976. She is a popular Filipino actress who started her acting and movie career via the afternoon show “That’s Entertainment” in GMA 7. Ana starred in several movies such as ‘Alabang Girls,” in 1992 opposite Andrew E, and “Oo Na, Sige Na,” in 1994 opposite Robin Padilla. In 2006, she starred as the mother of Sharlene San Pedro in “Calla Lily,” and in “Your Song Presents: Boystown,” where she played as a mother of a teenager with That’s Entertainment batch mates’ Romnick Sarmenta and Cris Villanueva in the year 2009.

The youngest and only daughter among three siblings of Rene Adad, who previously worked with Coca-Cola and president of the Philippine Football Federation, Ana came from an Arab lineage. Her marriage to businessman Greg Montenegro on January 20, 2002 was not successful although they bore with them a daughter, they separated in 2008. The annulment was official and they both move on from their past.

Ana Roces is not a talent of Annabelle Rama anymore, the reasons of which they kept secret to avoid further speculations. In the meantime, Ana furthered her studies at the United States in Etiquette School in New York and took up image consultancy, personality development, cosmetics and other subjects that can enhance one’s personality. She plans to put up a company similar to this because she wants to share the knowledge she learned in New York. Hopefully after some legalities and documents, she can materialize the plan.

For her TV guestings and appearances, she is cast in “AnnaKarenina,” under GMA Telebabad with Gina Alajar as director. She finds Gina very supportive of her artists and treats everyone fairly. Ana hopes to portray more roles in the future as a rape victim or a villain maybe. These characters can be very challenging and can give her some unforgettable mark in her acting career.

She observes Carmela, her eight-year old daughter shows interest in becoming a star someday. Ana says she sees herself in her daughter, who loves to sing and owns a sweet voice herself. Carmela is also taking workshops in Trumpets and had participated in “Alice in Wonderland,” as Alice, a culminating activity in the summer workshop. But Ana says, in time, she will allow her daughter to decide which career she wants to pursue because her studies is more important than any other things right now.

Ana is so proud of her two children. Her son, Mateo is already 2 and a half years old and is a very active kid. She finds him friendly and a happy kid and hopes he gets to be a lawyer in the future. As for now, Ana is contented with her life, her career and her family. She has been just thankful that after all these years; the viewers still accept her as an actress and appreciate what she can still do in her career. She works on a per-project basis at GMA Network and is allowed to freelance with other networks.
